These Maltese sculptures were created in 2001, after we lost our little family companion
( Muffy ) she had been with us for over 17 years.
The sculptures are dedicated to her, in her memory.
Each sculpture has been molded and sculpted by me with clay, and then we had molds made for each of the sculptures when they were completed. The casts are made of Hydrocal, a hard substance and very heavy after cast.
It usually takes over a week to complete each cast, they have to dry completely,
have touch ups and a lot of sanding, and eventually painted,
each piece is different, or each puppy may have its own unique personality.

         There are 6 in the series, but right now I'am only releasing 3 of the pieces.
